The polishes I bought are so pretty and the formula is really nice! Not too runny, and the brush is just the right size, plus I love the grippy material of the top!

They go one very nicely and the shine is outstanding. Stays well.

I took the risk of ordering Smoking Quartz online simply based on its images because I absolutely loved the rich almost amber like brown that was depicted. I suppose I should’ve given the name of the polish more into account because the brown ended up being pretty muted in comparison and does in fact have a “smokey” effect to it. How do I known that this was what the color look like in person, I would not have purchased it. I tried putting a layer of a black nail polish as a base, in hopes that it would achieve the color I loved but to no avail.

Alright, I got Smokey Quartz thinking it would be a more dark and broody sister to Rosie-- and it is! They both have copper shimmer and brown bases! I was so happy that they shift the same way and applied the same way; Rosie is currently my favourite neutral from LL so I’m glad I picked this one up. Honestly with proper application on shorter nails (as I currently have now) you might be able to get away with one coat, but I did 2 and it is perfect. The shimmer is subtle and in certain lighting the brown look like a creme until the light hits it just right which is pretty fun. // Since it’s darker, I wouldn’t say it looks like velvet, as I compared Rosie to a velvet teddy bear. But the opacity is much more brilliant. The colour also doesn’t shift as much even in natural vs. flash lighting compared to Rosie so what you see is more accurate. It’s still 2nd to Rosie for me, but I just love this formula and colour from LL.

I love the shift in this polish, and pretty with a matte coat on top.

The color was beautiful. It did, however start chipping after one day. Gave the rating because of the collr.
