I was genuinely shocked when I put the first coat down, this polish is gorgeous AND opaque. I did not expect it to be as smooth as it is, but this is one of the best-quality nail polishes I have tried! In two coats it achieves complete coverage and looks fantastic; I love the colour in and of itself, but the quality really won me over. The formula is really easy to work with, it dries fast (but not too fast), it doesn’t have that gritty glitter feel nor does it pull up like a lot of holos, and boy oh boy does it have that glorious shimmer and shine! This is by far an instant favourite and I’ll be back to buy more! // The pictures I attached feature one in direct sunlight and one in the shade (still near the window, but in shade).
Update: I've worn it for 7 days and no chipping as of yet! I added a layer of Magic Strengthener after some spring cleaning and it didn't even dull the sparkle (maybe made the purple a smidge darker, but nothing noticeable!) Fantastic quality!!

I was looking forward to this color bc it is not only they name of my birthstone, but the colors were beautiful within the shimmer. When I put it on, it's merely a purple with silver sparkles. The holographic color is non-existent and it chipped in less than 24 hours. I've emailed Lights Laquer customer service to see if there was a specific top coat needed to bring out the colors advertised in the photos but I received no response. Even with no top coat, it's still purple woth silver sparkles and stays the same no matter what top coat I used. It's advertised as being chip resistant for days but mine chipped with minimal use in less than 24 hours which is disappointing.

I really like the formula of the nail polish; it's thick enough to not be too runny but not so thick that it doesn't spread evenly. The size & shape of the brush covers a larger area so I only need to do two passes to cover my whole nail. I don't have any issues with the polish streaking or appearing uneven or lumpy once dried.
