Jelly: Jelly nail polish is a type of nail polish that has a translucent or sheer appearance, resembling the texture and consistency of a jelly. Unlike opaque nail polishes that provide full coverage and opacity with one or two coats, jelly polishes are meant to be transparent and buildable. They create a see-through or tinted look on the nails, allowing the natural nail color or any underlying layers to show through. Due to their sheer nature, jelly polishes may require more coats to achieve the desired opacity or color intensity.
5 Easy Steps to the Perfect Manicure:
- Start with a Base Coat
- Wipe off excess polish from one side of the paddle brush, push the brush towards the cuticle, paint down the middle, slightly rotate your hand, try to get as close to the cuticle and edge and paint down the right side then the left side
- Apply second coat by following the same method as step 2
- Apply your Top Coat for a long lasting manicure
- Finish off with some cuticle oil to hydrate and support your nail growth
