Sheer: A sheer nail polish has a translucent or see-through finish. It is designed to provide a subtle hint of color while allowing the natural nail to show through. Due to their sheer nature, sheer polishes may require multiple coats to build up the desired intensity or coverage.

Jelly: A jelly nail polish has a translucent or sheer finish. Jelly nail polishes are meant to be transparent and buildable. Due to their sheer nature, jelly polishes may require more coats to achieve the desired opacity or color intensity.

If you know Lights Lacquer, you know about our oval-stemmed, rounded paddle brush! Our artists' favorite brush is known to provide a smooth and even application with every single formula type.

5 Easy Steps to the Perfect Manicure:

  1. Start with a Base Coat
  2. Wipe off excess polish from one side of the paddle brush, push the brush towards the cuticle, paint down the middle, slightly rotate your hand, try to get as close to the cuticle and edge and paint down the right side then the left side
  3. Apply second coat by following the same method as step 2
  4. Apply your Top Coat for a long lasting manicure
  5. Finish off with some cuticle oil to hydrate and support your nail growth

Stunning!

Such a stunning shade! After I painted Counting Sheep for the first time I immediately went online and purchased two more! New favorite sheer shade!

This may as well be a jelly top coat because there is no color in this thing, barely even any white tint

Counting sheep

It’s my first order with lights lacquer. I love their nude colors so thought I’d try this new shade. I’m in love. It’s the perfect milky jelly white neutral I love. I’ve found it easy to use and apply, such a great formula and dries well. It lasts a long time, stays shiny and doesn’t chip. Super glad I bought it.

Counting Sheep

This is a good shade to use if you want the Clean Girl look. I used 1 thin layer of Mrs. Jones and 2 thin layers of Counting Sheep to get this look. I normally don't like jellies but this shade is just enough for me to reconsider it. Would totally recommend if you want that polished look.
