This shade is so hard to capture on camera, so be warned that all the promo photos of this color are not accurate. When I look at this color on my nails I see exactly as they described, a burnt brick red. It looks more like a muted red or with a tiny hint (that it's barely there) of orange. In different lighting you may see it come across more so as red-orange b/c it does have that orange undertone. I HAVE SEEN SO MANY CLAIMING THIS ISN'T really a RED AND THAT ISN'T TRUE. THIS IS A RED. But it could be that you see colors differently or it just looks different on everyone depending on their skin tone. I have a medium to dark (more so medium) skin tone and it comes across as muted red on me. Even though this color is different than shown in the photos I absolutely love it. It's not too red, sorta in the middle, and that makes it perfect.
I love the color and the formula. Doesn’t chip as quickly as other polish and it’s so opaque.
The most beautiful brick red shade it goes perfectly with The Butler, but I personally love it next to A Temporary Madness!
All the nail polish I own is KL polish and from LL I picked up A Mysterious Affair and For the thrill. While I loved for the thrill, I am very disappointed with A Mysterious Affair, mainly because the marketing and website pictures are misleading. It looks like much more vibrant in the pictures but irl it looks like a dull and more burnt.
This color is super pigmented in one coat but I did two for thickness. This shade is a hybrid between a terracotta, burnt orange, and brick red. Very unique. Can’t wait wear this shade again!
