INGREDIENTS
Ethyl Acetate, Butyl Acetate, Nitrocellulose, Adipic Acid / Neopentyl Glycol / Trimellitic Anhydride Copolymer, Isophorone Diamine / Isophthalic Acid / Tromethamine Copolymer, Isopropyl Alcohol, Trimethyl Pentanyl Diisobutyrate, Titanium Dioxide (78891), Stearalkonium Hectorite, Acetyl Tributyl Citrate, Titanium Dioxide (Nano), Sucrose Acetate Isobutyrate, Yellow 8 (45350) Citric Acid, Yellow 10 (47005), Stearalkonium Bentonite, Blue 1 Lake (42090).
I have several other colors from Lights Lacquer and never had any problems, but this Bikini Bottoms color is different... it was difficult to build up to the full shade and I needed to use 3 coats minimum. Normally Lights Lacquer polishes will last me several days to a week or even longer, but this one started chipping like crazy on the second day. Then after I removed it, my nails were permanently stained yellow. I'm so bummed... it's a very cute color!
This polish is not long lasting. I can usually get 3-4 weeks on my toes, but this barely made it two weeks. I used the exact same base coat and top coat but it just didn't last. The color is beautiful though!
Such a fun, summer color to have on the nails! In my picture I have on three thin coats with the Totally Gelly top coat and it’s superb. It’s like a creamy lime green, which makes it very unique. Obsessed as always with LL polish!
Bikini Bottoms is an alluring lime green, that catches your eye without being overwhelming. The matte finish dulls the intensity slightly but applying a glossy topcoat really makes the color pop. Formula on this was a little thick, however application became much easier after a couple drops of polish thinner. Overall this color is a summertime dream, and who wouldn’t love the name!
After my package got lost during shipping, Lights Lacquer customer service was great and shipped out all new products with no problem. I got the second package and am in love with my new shades!
Great color and coverage. I was doing strawberry nail art and one coat was enough to cover the red!
Really liked this color, it's very unique and could get away with 2 coats. BUT, I had it on my toes for a couple weeks and when I removed it, this had stained my nails yellowish-green even after using a base coat, so I likely won't be using this again.
Historically, I have loved all my LL polishes. This is a great colour/shade, but is very difficult to work with. Even with 4 coats, streaky. And at which point it becomes overall too textured. It is almost as if additional layers lift the previous layer. Also, I understand that it's marketed as a "matte" but it dries to a finish like house paint that is unpleasant. Similar issue with other new LL polishes I've purchased.

I have several LL polishes and this is definitely the streakiest. I needed four coats to get an even application as opposed to the two or three I normally use for other colors. This color is so cute and fun for summer, just wish the formula was better.
